Linda M. Keller
Linda M. Keller is a researcher in the Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences and splits her time between Northern Hemisphere research and work on the Antarctic Automatic Weather Station Project (AAWS). Linda is responsible for processing the 10-minute data, doing quality control on the 3-hourly data, and putting out the databook for each year of automatic weather station data. In addition, Linda can serve as backup for Matthew Lazzara and Shelley Knuth when they are on travel.
Linda's area of interest is climatology and consequently she will be working on creating climate summaries for some of the longest running AWS sites. Another interest is the interaction of El Ni�o and Antarctic weather patterns.
Linda received her B.S. and M.S. in Meteorology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her thesis topic was "The Moisture Budget of an Extratropical Cyclone�. She has worked on various research projects in the Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences since 1977.

Linda is a member of the American Meteorological Society, the American Geophysical Union, and Sigma Xi. She also serves as a representative to the UW Academic Staff Assembly and is on the Committee on Women in the University. She currently resides in Madison with her husband, Michael, and three cats.
