Ship and Buoy Observations

  • A display of Ship and Buoy Observations from around the Antarctic and neighboring regions. This display is updated every 3 hours and shows the temperatures (degrees C) in red, dewpoint (degrees C) in green,present weather condition (if reported), sea level pressure in yellow, wind speed and direction as a flag (in knots) in cyan and the identification of the ship (letters) or buoy (numbers) in white.

  • A display of Ship and Buoy Observing Locations from around the Antarctic and neighboring regions. This display is updated every 3 hours and shows the the identification of the ship (letters) or buoy (numbers) depicting the locations they have reported from during the all hours of the current day (0 UTC to 23:59 UTC).

  • A listing of Ship and Buoy Observations from around the Antarctic and neighboring regions.

  • A listing of USCG Icebreaker Polar Sea Ship Observations when reporting from around the Antarctic and neighboring regions.

  • A listing of USCG Icebreaker Polar Star Ship Observations when reporting from around the Antarctic and neighboring regions.

  • A listing of Russian Icebreaker Krasin Ship Observations when reporting from around the Antarctic and neighboring regions.

  • A listing of Ernest Shackleton British Ship Observations when reporting from around the Antarctic and neighboring regions.
