Antarctic Meteorological Research Center
Case Study Repository

[dot]

The AMRC provides meteorological data all over the Antarctic continent, and is happy to provide this data free of charge to the public. In order to be able to supply this data in a more succinct and easy-to-assemble manner, we have collected data for certain significant Antarctic storms and offer this data on our ftp site. Some of the case studies are analyzed by the AMRC, while for others the data is simply collected and provided for others to analyze. Browsing of this site is excellent for those looking for significant weather events to study in the Antarctic. The general public is free to use any and all of this data free of charge; all the AMRC requests is that credit is given to the AMRC in any published works. Credit can be given as follows:

Antarctic Meteorological Research Center
Space Science and Engineering Center
University of Wisconsin-Madison

Or, to condense space:
AMRC/SSEC/UW-Madison

For case studies analyzed by the AMRC, these products can be found in the "analyses" folder within the specific case study's directory on the ftp site. For more information on each case study, please consult the readme files in the ftp directory. The AMRC also welcomes submissions of case studies from outside parties. Credit will be given to the appropriate person(s) for case studies received.
